• EPS converters that seek to enhance their business by incorporating trademark and patented products into their existing construction products, geotechnical, sight & sound barrier, and packaging product lines;
• Manufactured housing firms that seek an exclusive product (R-CONTROL STRUCTURAL INSULATED PANELS) to create handling efficiencies for builders, offer environmental “green” products to their customers while making a structure that is significantly more energy efficient;
• Building contractors who currently do on-site building and seek to self supply unique and proprietary building components through vertical integration;
• Material suppliers (e.g., wood, plaster, cement, roofing membranes, etc.) that seek to work collaboratively to expand product offerings and bring a well defined and proprietary product to the market; and
• Government entities that seek long-term solutions to address housing needs with green building systems that can be set up and operated in all parts of the world with very short lead times.

RELATIONSHIP STRATEGIES:

AFMT provides products and technical support using a three step customized program to: (1) understand the strategic logic and opportunities of the specific market; (2) prepare a comprehensive business plan to apply that strategic logic to achieve the agreed objectives; and (3) implementation of an agreed plan including equipment setup, production, marketing, and ongoing technical support. AFMT may be engaged to accomplish one, two, or all three aspects of the relationship strategy. Turn key agreements are encouraged.

COSTS:

AFMT grants a license option to a licensee for an identified product within a specific territory – exclusive or non-exclusive. The fee for the license option pays for a jointly developed business plan that is used to implement the project. AFMT then assists the licensee to execute the business plan from additional market research to final production, sales, and product installer training. The license agreement alternatives may be linked to the non exclusive or exclusive use of one or more specific technologies in a defined market area. A license agreement would normally include a fixed fee and/or a royalty charged per unit produced or revenue generated, whichever is the greater.
